Looking at an XKR at Jerry McKinny Motor Company in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, AutoBahn Motors, the local Jag dealer will not run it through it's regular inspection routine for me.

Any members nearby or recomendations for someone who knows Jags?

Matt @ Auto Critic did a good job for me. It was a long distance deal and his inspection made it a lot easier.

Auto Critic is an independent mobile inspection service. They come to your location (dealer's lot, etc). They don't sell parts or do repairs, they aren't affiliated with any dealer, and as one local DFW dealer told me, "He's a real pain in the ***."

They seem very thorough to include lifting the car to check underneath as well as test driving the vehicle. He doesn't "specialize" in Jaguars but I do know that he does a lot of high end vehicles and seemed very knowledgeable regarding the XKR.

 

I'd be willing to drive by and take a cursory look at it for you, then you can at least decide it if warrants a further, detailed inspection?
