I bought a 2003 XJ8 for the motor to install in my 2001 XK8. The motor in the XJ8 was replaced by Jaguar at 60000 miles due to a bad oil pump. This was told to me by the previous owner. Is there any way to get into the Jaguar computer system to check if the work was done? The vin# SAJDA24C63LF53743. I was told the work was done under warranty. Does anyone know what the warranty was in 2003? Thanks

 

Any Jaguar dealer can pull up the "as built" documentation. That includes the original engine number. You can then compare that with the current engine number.
