Could I ask a quick question please regarding my 2003 XKR and the ZF Adaption TSB (here)

http://www.justanswer.com/uploads/cr...00145NAS11.pdf

I ask because my 2003 XKR VIN falls in the range (mine is A33xxx) and I have had (for as long as I have had the car, which is almost 4 years) an issue with automatic gear changes "clunking" and "thumping" into gear, especially the lower gears, neutral to 1st, 1st to 2nd, and back down again.

The TSB seems to say that the clutch pressure needs to be "adapted", which sounds like it might well cause my "clunking" gear change issues, but it also says that it should be done following Transmission Control Module reconfiguration.

I have no idea whether my car has had Transmission Control Module reconfiguration, but the symptoms do seem to fit my problem.

I see that this TSB is quite old now, 2009, so is it still in force? Is it something I might be able to get Jaguar to check my car under? Does it sound like it could be the cause of my automatic gear selection problem?

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Kevin

Default TSB 50140 - Child Tethers

Hi,

Trying to cram stupid child seats into the back of my car. My drivers manual shows tethers for connecting the top strap but they aren't there. I see there is a TSB. Can someone pass it on to me?

Thanks!

Greeting Jaguarists
well my 99 Xk8 died last night and I had it towed to a shop. ( one I trust) The power just evaporated electrically , and I'm a thinkin that its the alternator? Any observations? If it is and I can get it at discount, he'll do the labor (since I don't have a place to do this work) Any chances it might be something more simple?

Bought the ignition coil ($26.00) but haven't had the chance to install it yet. Maybe today

Yes I have owned a lot of jags and I loved every single one of them. Some young woman told me last night to sell my jag since they have bad electrical problems. But I have never had that experience. She offered me 25 dollars, and then 2500. But,well ya no, I'm a Jag man at heart, soooo, , , not gonna happen. I've had good maintenance from my Jags, even the 88 and 89's

Steve, did you see my post? about your wheels?

Where can I find the Spec's for an 05 XKR.....Gear Ratio's Rear-End Ratio, Etc. ?
I used to be able to find all the Specs by just looking up 2005 Jaguar XKR Specs but they don't show up anymore on the Internet.......I'm trying to set-up my new Dash Command OBDII program!

Appreciate your help! Billy Clyde in Houston
