Recentley my Radiator cap went bad and hose was collapsing.
I had the Jag dealership put on a new hose and new anttifreeze.
They let the car warm up to engine temp.
But in the meantime the mechanic took off the engine cover the black cover that sas Jaguar.
He then took off the cap and water and antifreeze got all over the modules
and the coils got wet and 4 modules got wet.
Then They pit it all back together and then the engine managment information system came on and car woud not start.
The next day I picked it up and it drove home fine. Well 3 days later I went to start it and enginement light came on and car would not run correct then run correct then again would shut down.
Question is. If they git waater and anttifreeze all over tge coils and modukes could that have started the problem. They say know but antifreeze will coroad
as far as I know.
I had anther shop cgnge 4 coils spark plugs and 4 nodules.
Could that have xaused the problem?
If someone can email me at stingrayc2 it would help alot.
My car is a 97 Jag XK8 with under 34 thousnd miles.

From last reply not a new hose but preasure cap. And they did take the engine cover off when they tested the temp
