I was driving back from Raleigh, NC to Pinehurst, NC and stopped at a red light. An NC State trooper pulls up next to me rolls down his window and says "just so you don't get in a bind the speed limit through here is 45". A few months before I went through a road block of almost a dozen policemen and they all had to stop me just to ask what kind of car it was and take a look.

 

Better make sure there's no contraband aboard with as much attention you"very been getting!

It takes a big man to make that kind of admission.

I'm only prepared to own up that my car's bodywork is in better condition than mine.

hey yall i own a 05 super v8 and i got pulled over for speeding, of course, and we talked about my car for about 20 minutes. i mean, we got out i showed him around it looked under the hood all this, and he still writes me a 150 dollar ticket. im feeling only 50% love here.

 

...hmmm, could it have been it was an XJ and didn't have that long nose of the XK? I've gotten out of several tickets in the jag, only one in all my previous cars/suvs combined!

 

I've never been ticket in the Jag, even when I deserved it, lol. A nice polite chat with the officer and I've always been on my way.
