Japanese Models - Hard Reset radio code required?
I need to know if Japanese models require a radio code entry once a hard reset has been done.
I'd like to perform a hard reset to test a problem but don't want to have to find a code if I upset her. I know USA models don't require a code after a battery reset.
Anyone know if Jap ones require radio code input after reset?

They sure do, which is the bad news. The good news is that there are a few options:
1/ I got my code from here https://www.carstereocode.com . Had to pull the radio to get its part number though.
2/ If you don't have the code, try pressing the Fast Forward, A.Mem and PTY buttons at the same time. Often works and if not it is easy enough to get a code. I'd try this first if I was in your shoes.
3/ Try a Jag dealer. I did this and they were very helpful and charged me nothing but the code they gave me didn't work unfortunately.
