how do i load a video with the noise?

 

I'm going to do mine in the next few months weather permitting and have been swatting up on the subject. I'm no expert but a few things, did you take the pins out? Is the noise really bad, as there have been one or two members who stated the same and it was said to be normal due to the design of the newer metal part.
I'm sure someone with far more knowledge on the subject will guide you, just thought I would ask about the pins.

everthing was tight, pins removed. I suspect it is just valve noise that I could not hear before.

 

Tick or tap? The injectors make a ticking noise. Might be a good idea to get a car stethoscope and listen around to be sure though.

 

tapping. sounds like the valves, but is loudest at the bottom of the engine

 

noise all gone this morning. the car sat idle for about a month while i was doing this
ran the engine for some time without the ignition relay. maybe it was not enough considering the time idle.
