Default Just pulled the trigger - and now I'm hurting ... not!

Finally - pulled the trigger at last. Just bought an '03 platinum XKR convertible - with 20" Montreal rims. When I bought it the odometer displayed 39007 - now it displays 40893 miles after I drove it from the Bay Area straight to Austin, TX.

The only hiccup was the seat heater turned itself on once - and that's it.

Whenever I flat-footed the throttle - the supercharger makes a whining sound like Satan's-own tea-kettle - love it!

The only drawback is my jaw hurt ......... because I can't stop grinning!

Thks folks.

@JimC64 - will post pictures, but I am a junior member. Do I have the rights to do that?

I also just realized that I killed a bunch of bugs along the way. I was shocked to see how 'bug infested' the grill and the side mirrors are .....

What's the best way to get that cleaned? Can I wash the car in the do-it yourself car-wash place? What about the top - is the power hose safe for it? I think there might be threads for this somewhere in here ..... I'll go look but in the meantime if anybody knows, don't hesitate to give recommendations.

Sounds like a beautiful car. But hand-wash it yourself with a good quality car wash soap that won't take the wax off. As for the top, I'm assuming it's clean since you just bought it. Apply some waterproofing (spray on carefully to avoid over spray on the rear window). The top can then get wet, but don't use soap on the top when washing the car. After washing the car, dry the top with a large absorbent cotton towel. That's it. Enjoy the new car!

Regards,

Ray

I just added Mina's 3 pak of performance upgrades to my Pacific Blue 02 Coupe. Are these fun cars or what!

Here are some pictures - all taken with cellphone camera - have not gotten time to take nicer pictures with real camera yet ..

picture #1: just arrive home from the 1800+ mile trip
picture #2: Montreal wheel
picture #3: parked on the driveway after a quick car wash
picture #4: view from the dashboard - approaching Las cruces, NM

Some people describe the car as very concupiscent ..... I think it's a very accurate description!
