Hi guys, as the satnav DVD I have in my XKR no longer works I am looking for a replacement. I know the maps are outdated, I just want to get rid of that check DVD error. I would be ok with having only clocks displayed, but it seems to be related with readable DVD. I also tried to make a copy as my computer was able to load that DVD. But even burning on the lowest speed (and I also tried various DVD-R/RW producers) did not help. There is probably some protection for "illeagal" copying. Or if some of you has been succesfull with making copies, let me know the procedure.
These are the numbers I found on DVD:
4W83-10E898-DA and BM9JG94H, it also says XK range.
It´s Alpine DVD Satnav and I was told, that some discs from XJ may also work. Discs are hard to find and when for sale, ppl are asking crazy prices: https://ebay.to/3zbYHTx They have this Jaguar part. nr and Alpine part nr.
Later discs were marked as Denso (for example https://ebay.to/3zczN6u) and they are much more affordable, so I would like to know if someone has them and if they are compatible with Alpine Sat Nav? I guess not but just give it a try.
