Default Le Mans 1956/2019

Hiya folks,
Just thought I’d share this on the off-chance someone else besides me will find it to be fun :-P

I’m on my way to Le Mans to watch the race, so seeing as I’m from Scotland and have the same colour of Jag, I thought I’d decorate the XKR to look like the winning D-Type run by the Scottish team in 1956 :-D

Also, because I’m a bit of a nerd, I even started the journey from the very same garage that housed the Ecurie Ecosse team in the 50’s :-)

That's a bit of fun.

I am sure you will get some nerdy attention when you arrive.

Wonderful! Sounds like a fun Jaguar road trip to me! For those of us across the pond stateside, feel free to post some pictures of the race. I would love to see it one day!

Great idea. I had the Matchbox Ecurie Ecosse transporter, back in the day, and figured that was the closest that I would ever get to Jaguar ownership!

Beautiful car! So at what point do you plan to sneak onto the course and enter the race? How far do you expect to get before you get tossed? We can all set up a GoFundMe account to pay for your bail. I hear the French jails are not too bad. Do they still have la guillotine for such an offense?? Maybe not.

Hahaha! The track is open at times if you fancy a jog, nae chance of sneaking a motor on tho, Pierre would not be happy :-P

Also, met a Tuscan on the way, I haven’t seen one of them for 10 years! :-D
