Default leather rejuvenator

Hi All,
Looks like I will be parked up for the winter after all with a snow storm projected for tonight.

I had thought about removing the front seats which have the typical crease lines ( most on the driver side of course) and giving them a good clean and seveal treatments of leather conditioner over the long winter months.

I have two concerns: 1. how will the seats react to the dry air heating of Northern houses, will it make the seats dry out and crease more?

2. What is the best leather conditioner? I have searched the fourms and most speak to restorers like leatherique, I am concerned the the red stiching used on the Silverstone edition may be discoloured using any dye based products?

Any advice is apprciated.

Thanks,

Karl

Check out Gliptone's Liquid Leather. I was very pleased with it....but really haven't tried anything else:

Leatherique is a wonderful product but I do not know how it will deal with the contrasting stitching. Call them and discuss. They are real leather experts and very helpful folks. Their products work best in a hot car in the Summertime. Don't know how they will function in the great white north.

+1. Liquid Leather is generally considered the best. It actually enhances the leather smell, too, though I always wear latex gloves when applying it, as otherwise your hands smell for a couple of days.

I use Leatherique. To the best of my knowledge there is no dye in their leather rejuvenator or cleaner. I think it is great stuff. I put an occasional very light coating of the rejuvenator on the leather. Soaks in overnight.

They sell dyes, but the maintenance products are different.

Call them and they will explain all.

Jack

I have been using Leatherique for the past two years and it is outstanding. Just follow the directions and you should get very good results. As advised you may want to check in with the folks at Leatherique as they are quite helpful.
