Default Looking for Gran Daddy?

Came across this 1969 XKE Coupe. Reported to be a Houston Flood Car which will come up for auction.

That's a 67 or earlier. I wouldn't be scared away by one of these being submersed. Simplistic car.

​​​​​​Interiors aren't cheap, but everything is readily available and somewhat affordable. I would bid in a restrained manner!

1Rnnnn is series II. Rocker switches & no separate push start. Ribbed cam covers...

It is a BITSA but the water damage would not scare me away if the price is right. The S1 bonnet in good condition might pay for a lot of it--but then you need an S2 bonnet.
