Default Looking for an XKR vert?

I came across this listing today that is located within a few minutes of my home. It looks like it has had some "upgrades" like the Mina hood vents, front end bra, etc., and with an asking price of $3500 for a car that actually runs?! If anyone is interested, I can certainly go take a look for them.
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...380147811.html Not quite sure judging by pictures how "perfect interior and exterior" is applicable, but for a couple of thousand dollars, car could be made very nice (respray of rear quarter, new seat covers...) and $3500 is the asking price, may be available for less.

Let's see: start with a $3500 purchase, add $6K for a full re-spray, $1K for new seats from topsonline and installation, and you'll end up with a nice car worth about $9,000. Assuming there is no mechanical issues. At least it's a California car (presumably) so no rust worries. That's the problem with these as long as they are on the depreciation curve: you can probably find an alternative in better shape at a better price.

There have to be some massive or many little mechanical issues with this car.

What if the top doesn't work, add another $2000, tires $1000 and front shocks $1000.
Good luck.

Obviously, no one expects to buy a perfect (or even a good) car for $3500, but for someone trying to enter XKR ownership at a very low price, that allows them to "build" a nice car as finances allow, this car might represent an opportunity.

And for those who are looking for a car to customize as their own, a car like this may be just the ticket.
