Looking for an XKR - Not here price is ridiculous
Even though my '01 XK8 may be "comparatively tame in the XK8 trim" it can be had for a mere $30k. But better act now, that price is today only.
Good luck to the seller. They won't reach that price level until after I have sold mine someday.

Seems the link is now dead. There was a '97 convertible for sale locally with 60k on odometer and he wanted $12k or so. I am not sure where some people get their pricing or maybe it is the bigger fool theory?
You could buy a 2013 X150 with the new V8 that price, same miles, same performance, and a better driver, but not quite the same style...

The guy is totally misguided in terms of pricing just because it is some "rare" model. The only types of folks that care about limited edition models are usually the folks who are interested in the particular brand overall. Someone in the general population who may be considering an XK8/XKR would not normally care that much to pay such a premium.

Look at some cars in Canada. The American dollar is worth $1.40 Canadian right now. I just sold my 2005 XKR convertible for $23K US dollars. 26,00 miles and in mint condition. Jaguar dealership in Canada said that my car in extra clean condition is worth $17K Cdn or about $12K US dollars on a trade for a new F-Type R!
I have seen quite a view XKR's in the mid 20 USD range. But almost all of them where coupe's. There is a dealer in the US specialized in selling the xkr at high prizes and he is selling them! But there is a big difference in a clean low mileage original full history one vs your run down stored wet/ outside car that can get maybe 10k. If i would by a other XKR i would be paying top dollar to get the right car. And finding a clean low milage original xkr coupe is not so easy now a days.
Interesting point sheens.
I've read that of the X100 models imported into the U.S. only about 10% of those were coupes. Of the coupes about 50% were XKR's. You can do the math, but it took me two years of looking to find my low miles XKR coupe.
I've seen many X100 convertibles but my 98 coupe and my 05 XKR are the only X100 coupes I've personaly seen on the road. If you're looking for a coupe, and only a nice low mileage well looked after coupe will do, then it's going to be a long and possibly expensive search.

I love Kitty for sure, but the first $25,000 takes her!
Step right up, ... one and all, ....
Who knows, maybe the value of our cars is going up? Let's face it: 37,000 miles is not "low mileage" to a collector. Many people are happy to return their leased cars at that point, thinking they're one step ahead of the Grim Reaper.
