Hey guys,

I have a loose driver (left) door latch on my 98 xk8 convertible. It is coming away from the door when opening from outside. Everything else works fine. I hope I just need to tighten some nuts on the inner part of the door. Before I take off the door cards, I just wanted some suggestions. I don't want to get in over my head.

You are correct in that it is probably just a couple loose bolts. Removing the door card is the thing to be concerned with. There are at least one discussion on that specific subject that a search will find. I would add that a Harbor Freight tool makes removing the card easier with less chance of damage to the card and/or the fasteners. I have one but cannot find the link at the moment.
