Hi Guys just wondering if anyone can help me with this?
Until last weekend my 2003 XK8 has performed beautifully without any problems since I acquired it. But on Saturday as I went to drive out of the garage, on inserting the ignition key and turning to position 2 the dash lights all came up as usual but the “Power Up” chimes didn’t sound, so I switched off and all the lights went off but again no “Power Off” chimes were heard. I’ve since switched the ignition on and off quite a few times but sadly my chimes have not returned!! Does anyone have any ideas what’s happening here? Has anyone had a similar experience and can point me in the right direction for restoring the chimes.
Any help or assistance will be gratefully received.

Hi David, thanks for the video, was helpful but unfortunately has not cured my problem. With the ignition on in position 2 the turn indicators in both directions sound the click clop through the speaker very clearly, as do other sounds such as when the Valet button is pressed. It seems as though all chimes are heard through the speaker except the ignition power up and power down chimes when turning the ignition on and off.
