Car makes that loud crack like sound from front of convertible body when hitting bump. Usually only when hitting first bump after starting off? Any ideas?

You are going to have to be more specific, or better yet, try making a video, upload it on youtube, and post the link here.

What do you mean by hitting bump? A speed bump?

1. stop driving at all until....
2. you have jacked up the front, removed the road wheels and checked the suspension

It could be several things but seized upper wishbone bushes is the first that I'd eliminate.
