I had the same problem with my 2006 XK8 Victory- they had to replace the sensor, cap and a hose - there's a plastic housing that can crack, or fail. Ask the dealer to look at it and replace the parts.

They say the sensor can be replaced, but I've heard people trying, and having lots of difficulty. I recommend just spend ~ $150 on a new OEM expansion tank, with new sensor and cap as part of the package, and just swap out the tank. Easy to do in 15 minutes. Less stress, which in these days, is always appreciated.

I agree about swapping out the whole new expansion tank. The sensor is integrated into the tank. There has been lots of threads about people trying to fix just the sensors, but so far nothing I have seen has proven to work. gordo
