Default low power message

Coming back from a Jaguar meet a low power message came on. Went back to the garage where the meet was held, and checked the error code showed knock sensor error, but could not reset it. My gas level was low so I filled the tank with super grade. After driving about 20 miles the error message went away but the engine lite is still on. Will this engine lite reset itself after a few engine starts?

The MIL a.k.a. CHK ENG light? No - it won't turn off itself. It has to be cleared.

Just a heads up on my knock sensor problem. I drove the car to a Autozone today to have the engine lite cleared, but they could not clear it due to an "unspecified code". The knock sensor code and the unspecified one showed up on his code reader. I was planning to take the car into my Jaguar dealer tomorrow, but on the way home from Autozone I stopped for a coffee and when I started the car, the engine lite cleared. I drove about a total of 50 miles and several key starts, since the low power message went out, then the engine lite reset. I think this is a normal procedure for this type of reset error. All is well now, apparently my Jag got sick on some bad gas, I think it was BP that I put in the last time I filled it. I think my cat likes Mobil better. You know how our finicky cats are!!!
