Lower shock and a-arm bushing worn.. bad shock?

Not an expert in this area and not sure how to test the shock other than the old school of applying pressure the body above the shock and see if it recovers without bounce. However, if you are going to replace any part that is going to give you access to the shock and the car has a lot of mileage or you have a reason to believe it is bad/leaking by all means replace them both.

lower control arm bushings...check! (did it) Upper were done at the same time, figured might as well keep them all 'fresh' and evenly aged.
I don't recall many (maybe a handful) of shock replacements of our members on here. None that I can remember had any problem with the CATS, surely its a re-education once the system restarts? I'm not sure to be honest.
Possibly a tech will read and toss out something definite.
