lower the top with the key

Default lower the top with the key

does anyone else know about lowering the top with your key in the drivers door. i found this by accident the other week and i think its the coolest thing ever. if you dont know about this, take your key and insert it in drivers door and turn towards the rear of the car. the doors will unlock, all four windows roll down, and the top will go down! this will be great on a hot summer day to let all the heat escape. i wonder if there are any other secrets to discover. enough about that. sorry i havent posted anything in awhile but i just replaced my crashed computer, but i have checked the forum almost daily on the iphone. i didnt even try to post or reply on the iphone.

Yeah, if you read the manual, you'll see all kinds of stuff in there. Or you can just treat it as a video game and discover what secrets are out there. Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm really not a grouch.

Yes, that is pretty cool, but lowering with the remote is a lot cooler!

Pretty common knowledge and the basis for the key fob kit that allows the top to be lowered/raised from a distance. Lots of post on the feature but thanks for chiming in. Don't be a stranger.

The owners manual coupled with the FAQ Sticky above will turn up all sorts of 'secret' features of the car.

Yes a cool feature, but most know of it as you've seen.....have you checked out the "remote top lowering" thread???

You do the same thing in reverse and the top goes up, the windows goes up and the locks on.

Doesn't work very well on a coupe, or so I understand.

To lower the top on a coupe you need a tin-opener.
