MAP/BARO Circuit Malfunction
Hi Guys,
Getting a MAP/BARO Circuit Malfunction code popping up on CEL when I run a code reader, if I clear it returns after 60-80 miles of hwy driving. Any suggestions or ideas.
Thanks
Brian

Hi, the code is P0105. The code reader I am using is a innova which includes a section for Jaguar, although I think this one may be a generic code. I have tried to clean the MAF with sensor clean but the code returned.

I am assuming you have a 2000 XKR.
It is the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor fault. Do not confuse this with MAF which is the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
The MAP sensor is a small sensor with a single vacuum hose and 3 wires. First thing to check it whether the vacuum hose fell off or is leaking. It could be in the center near the firewall (likely on North Amercan cars) or in the ECM compartment near the firewall.
