Default Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input

PO102

Left the house this morning in 25° weather, (Fahrenheit) and after a half mile I received this code and the car went into "Restricted Performance" mode. For the last week I have been smelling what I have assumed to be oil leaking from a valve cover and burning on a manifold. I haven't looked yet to determine actual issue and I don't know if it's related.

My code reader offered the PO102 code as well as PO447, Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Open, and PO1000 indicating an ECM issue.

Any troubleshooting advice will be graciously accepted.

Thanks.

First, those are zeros not ohs and it matters when looking them up - I'm guessing Search will hel.p and so would the workshop manual.

The issue was dirty contacts on the mass airflow sensor, (MAF). Low input code has gone away as has "restricted performance". I live 8/10's of a mile down a dirt road and the air filter was showing the effects of that, so a good cleaning of it didn't hurt. I prefer this result to replacing the MAF!

Dont forget if you clean the MAF use a MAF cleaner and not carb cleaner. Most MAF sensors have a coating that a carb cleaner would remove.

Also when you clean the MAF you actually clean the MAF sensor itself and not the rather obvious bit on the outside, looks like a tear drop? Thats the Temperature sensor. I thought I had cleaned the MAF but in fact I had just cleaned the temp sensor , duh!

I am sure you got the right bit because the car has improved etc However if anyone else googles this topic then the link below may clarify things for them.
