Mats?? gray market car
Just purchased a 2000 XK8 with 79,600 miles which is in great conditions, but I am interested in replacing the front mats. When switching the title over I discovered this is a grey market car. Does that factor in when trying to get new mats? Would their configuration be any different since the car was not manufactured for the U.S?

Welcome to the forum Csajaguar,
I've moved your question from XK/XKR 2006 onwards to XK8/XKR 1996-2006 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

I don't think the floor mats would be any different unless it's a right hand drive car. Can you explain why it's a grey market car? Nothing I can think of that would require some one to have issues bringing any XK8 into the US.
I presume this is the removable driver's and front passenger's mats?
If so, they were originally available from Jaguar in carpet, lambswool or rubber options but you are unlikely to be able to source any Jaguar OE now. However, they are widely available from aftermarket suppliers.
For the 1996-2006 XK8/XKR there was only one basic pattern change through the production run. This is the single or double fixing holes:

The number of fixing holes changed with model year.

Graham,
Thanks, I just checked and I have 2 fixed holes that are located at the bottom of the mat on both the driver and passenger side. Nothing at the top. I began my mat search yesterday and came across a few companies, two of which were mentioned on a previous post.
