Yesterday the wife drove her old car to work and I had the Cat. She uses the Jag as a daily driver except on Fridays. So I have my duties since I have the day off. Maintenance cleaning and filling it with gas. It was such a beuatiful day, top was down so I Had to go for a drive. About 40 miles west i drive by a Chevy dealership and low and behold they have a dark blue 2008 XK convertible. So I pull in the large used car lot and park next to the 2008. I just wanted to compare the 2 side by side. Salesman comes walking out of the office and of course I walk over to meet him. You could not see mine due to the other cars. I thought he was giving me the pitch that they had a customer coming to look at the 2008. A couple of minutes later a couple comes out of the office walks past us and says look honey they even put the top down for us. They open my doors and she gets in and starts telling her husband this is what she wants, all the wood the flowing lines. Well the saleman walks over tells her that is not the car that is for sale. I just started laughing. The lady is embarassed and apauliging and I am still laughing. She looks at me and smiles and tells her husband thats the car i want and returns to the office. Salesman gives me a dirty look. Well I never did find out what they were asking for the 2008 xk. Jim

 

Great story! A similar thing happened with my old Honda......ok, not the same thing!

 

Looks like we'll soon have another female member of this forum. She has good taste.
