After reading this and other post, I have deceided to use the cam locking method. I found the tools for rent from http://www.eurotoysltd.com. They charge $75.00 for rental or $300.00 for sale. They are a few miles from my house so I can save on shipping. For $75.00 it's not worth the chance of breaking a cam.

Thanks again, Dennis. That is a good thread, but the pictures do seem to be missing. No never mind, I think I'll just combine your (and TestPoint's) advice,.... be careful, stop fretting and obsessing, and just do it. A good Sunday project, peace of mind afterwards, and peat-flavoured bevvies for all concerned upon completion.
