Default ABS Module and Model Year

Does anyone know hoe sensitive the ABS Control Modules are to model year? I have an opportunity to buy a "spare" unit from a 1999 model. Think it will work properly on my 2000?

Thanks!

It seems that there a re about 6 part numbers, so i guerss it's pretty sensitive. The P/N is easy to read, however, even when the unit is installed.

Generally speaking, if the part number suffix increments by a letter or two, you would be Ok. For instance, LNC2210AD would replace LNC2210AC. Also be sure the number of solenoid coils you see on the backside is the same; and the function designation is the same. I.E. ABS, ABS+TCS, ABS+TRACS. Steer clear of a PREFIX that is different, some are LJA, LJE, LNE, LNA for example.

Gee, harder to explain than it is to practice.

Cheers,

Understood. Can't see the soleniod coils without removing it, but the part number and product designation should get me most of the way home.
