If you have a good shop working for you, you shouldn't be able to notice the difference.

Glad to hear everything is moving along.

My local shop repaired a huge scrape (approx. 14" x 3") on my rear bumper by blending a few months ago. I swear I cannot see any trace whatsoever and I'm really picky.

I've been informed the case has gone to the county attorney, so tomorrow I'll talk to him and hopefully hear more progress.

You mentioned that she had been in to talk to her supervisors, possibly about being reinstated. If she is represented by a union, I would say that could be a possibility. But being charged and brought before the judge in a matter like this certianly is embarrasing to the company, and in some union contracts that can be grounds for dismissal.

I'll be interested to hear what her motive/reason was.

No union to deal with and she admitted guilt to the company...it just seems that she didn't admit it to the police. One other thing, due to the department we work in, the company made us sign a waiver that we could be fired anytime for no given reason. I've never seen it happen, but I suppose they could pull that out in this case.

Haha, we have that in Virginia. Anyone can be fired at any moment for any reason!

It's baaaack! I'm so happy! Everything on the car is perfect, even a few minor scratches that have bugged me since I bought the car. It's a bit overcast, so I can't tell for sure, but my very picky eye can't spot any color difference or any other imperfections. The car needs a bath to clean the wheels and wheel wells, convertible top, and body seams where rubbing compound got in, but I'm ecstatic right now! Now I just have to wait for the criminal case is over so that I can get my deductible back and the insurance can get the remainder of the balance back. I can't believe the incredible job my body shop did for under $1000! I really didn't think it was possible, but small town economics and being friends with the body shop guy do wonders.

Now, some quick pictures:

Nice job. Very nice job.

I believe this is preferable to a complete paint job if they are able to do it perfectly. Looks like they did.

Those were deep scratches. That is a mean person. Hope she rots.

Nice work! I'm happy for you Keith. I'm guessing the colour of your car really helped in getting it blended well.

Looks excellent. Nothing looks like BRG with the tan top/interior.

That's Great! But mine just got hit while it was parked on the street half block away from my work few days ago, whoever did that left two dents on the driver side rear quarter panel and strached from that quarter panel to the driver door, and didn't leave a note. So, my cat is currenty in the shop waiting for the insurance adjuster to go down for a quote.

Looks really great, Keith. I know how you must feel after such a bad experience. I just don't understand how some people think, or of they do.

Good luck with the pretty kitty.
