Arrow My First Month XKR Review Since I Bought The Car Last Month

So I owned the 2006 XKR convertible for one whole month now. First thing I did I did the antenna mod I didnt like it going up and down so I disabled it to give it a clean look. All I can say is WOW. I love everything about this car it just so gorgeous I cant stop checking it out. Everytime I park the car I gotta go back and check how gorgeous it looks. When I ride in it I feel like Im the most unique on the road. I have yet to catch another XKR driving. I see Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, & Audi drivers just starring at the XKR all the time they envy it. When I go out people driving and walking just stop and stare at the car. I park it right at the front of stores because driving the XKR make you feel so VIP. I have had so many people come up and compliment this car more than my previous BMW and Mercedes. People just come up and say "WOW YOUR CAR IS GORGEOUS". I have had fun driving with the top down but now the weather is getting colder so it stays up. The MPG it varies 14-16 in the city and on hwy the most was 21-22. I try not to speed in it it goes fast. This has been the best car I ever owned and I am glad I chose this car over the SL55 I was planning to get. This will definitely not be my last one I will always make sure I keep an XKR in my car collection at all times.

Just the same for me and I'm 74 today !!
Had the car for 5 months now, all be it only an XK8. However a great 'bird' puller. In the first week of ownership I pulled a 82 year old
Acceleration not upto my Suzuki 1250cc Bandit though !
Happy Christmas to you all.
George

It's called the "jag-around". You know. You park it, walk away a bit, whip around to have a look at her, walk a bit more, whip around again just for another peek...

Are you parked in your kitchen?

Hey mja xkr what gives with the garage! Where is all of the stuff. I wish I could get ride of all the #$%^ in mine!

I have to many hobbies, chores, tools, parts, and the dreaded bicycles that never get ridden. Maybe now is the time to visit goodwill and make some donations.

it's amazing to see how having grown kids... clears the clutter out of the garage (and the house for that matter)..............

Not in my case. Ever since my son flew the nest I can finally find any tool that I'm looking for, right where it should be. My spare qts. of oil remain on the shelf. I've got more junk now than I've ever had in my garage!!

LOL I do that too.
Compliments all the time. Of course, I've only had it less than a week, so I'm also doing that thing of parking it so that it's all but impossible for someone to park beside it and throw their door into it too
Compliments all the time. Last night dining out I literally had parked next to a new/late model red Ferrari.
Some older folks strolling by, stopped and admired it. One of the fellas said "My god that's a beautiful car! What is it? Is it new?" He wasn't talking about the Ferrari. (there are a lot of very hot cars - old and classic - around here. Old guys with the money to finally have ro make their dream car.)

In the past I never had any place to work on my cars. Recently we acquired a new, larger location for our business. Behind it (also ours) is an 8000 square foot warehouse we don't need at this point at all. It was a motorhome dealership and That was the repair shop. 20 foot ceilings. 5 floor hoists. Air tool fittings lining both sides. 7 bay doors. Empty but for my Jag.

Hmmmm, seems I should be thinking about some exhaust modifications. The problem is that while I'm a master at disassembly...

Yep people notice and compliment a XKR more than a Ferrari and Lamborghini. I think the XKR is the most sexiest car and best car period. Its stunning and absolutely gorgeous.
