Take the aux belt off and see if you still got it

Sounds like a bearing from what I can tell from the video. I agree with the belt idea as the first step to isolate and locate. TM

Can you find where the noise is coming from?
I'm chasing a similar sound... at first I assumed it was belt related but when I get under the car it seems like it's more focussed around the bell housing and torque converter

Haven't had a chance to chase it down yet. Way too cold in my garage, but the idlers/belt sound like a good bet.

You need a mechanics stethoscope to check the idler bearings only about £5 ..invaluable

ebay.co.uk/ item/255051085509 just put the number in the search box

Been there, done that. The results were pretty inconclusive other than the sound was coming from that general area. Found out what sticking a probe onto a spinning part sounds like up really close!

sorry dont follow that ..you put it on the bearingshaft and you can hear the rumble in the bearing if it has any ..you dont touch rotating parts just the casing etc.

LOL - I had to be careful to keep my hair away back in the day. Not so much of an issue now

I was chasing a similar noise, in the lower front right side, after replacing idler pulley, tensioner, and belt. I noodled around with a poor man's stethoscope - a 3/8" hose, one end in my ear and one poking around for noise. Easily isolated to alternator. I had a spare so the choice to replace was easy. A few minutes later I found the bottom bolt loose - no nut at all, and the top bolt missing altogether. I guess the belt tension was holding everything in place until I upset the system by removing and replacing the belt/pulley/tensioner.
DPO (or his mechanic) must have gotten in there and given up on what seemed a difficult R&R. One year ago I found a similar approach applied to the heater pump: things partially taken apart and decided to stop when it seemed to difficult. I finished it, not opposed to difficult jobs myself, and am now poking around for my next surprise.

All the best,
