navigation gets lost
2002 XKR navigation just starts heading off in a direction other than the one I am travelling. It will continue for the remainder of the trip to follow roads nowhere near to my location. The GPS icon stays gray rather than the periodic green to indicate it's being updated. I've only had the car for a couple of months, and I'd had it parked in my garage for a week before the trip(took the same trip a week prior and the nav functioned perfectly). I went off the guidance at the start of my trip and the gps never relocated me. After being parked outside overnight at my destination it located me and functioned properly with the GPS icon periodically turning green(every 20sec or so). Halfway through my 5 hour return trip it "lost" me again when I stopped for gas. It did not function properly nor did the GPS icon turn green for the rest of my trip. Is this a "normal" shortcoming of the system or do I definately have a problem? Also, I've gleaned from different forums that the gps antenna is in the back window of my convertible. Is that true? If so I was going to check the connector(there's 25,000 miles on the car). Lastly, would the tech/repair cd's offered online be worthwhile, and are some better than others? Thanks
