Navigation screen blank

2006 XK8: (clock shows when screen off but don't know how to put in correct time zone.) when "on" button pushed screen goes blank. Here do I start?
Help appreciated.

What happens if you push the joystick?
Bottom button on the left.

Finally got it to work. As Norri stated, I was fooling around with it, pushed the bottom left button and it came on. Thanks Norri! Now I just need to figure out how to use it!
