Default Need Brake Reservoir cap

Dropped mine in no mans land and can't get it out and am refusing to pay jag $100 for a new one.
Anybody have a used one or know an aftermarket one that will fit my 01 xk8?

My Gunson Eezibleed brake bleeder kit has been used on a variety of UK manufactured vehicles including my own Jaguar X300, X308, XK8 and XK.

The Gunson universal cap fitted them all so there can't be anything too special about the thread or size of a Jaguar XK8 brake reservoir cap.

Holy smoke. $100 for the cap?! Thanks for letting me know about that.

If anyone does find an alternate source, make sure to also post the information in that thread as well.

thanks - Jim

That is what I figured, I know mine is 45mm because that is the size of my Motive bleeder, but nobody puts the size on their caps.

If a 1997 XK8 is the same as yours I can snag one from the local junk yard that has a XK, I suspect there is one on it though I was not looking for it the last time I was there.

I'm thinking BMW would use the same cap as well
as some Volvo and VW.
