I have purchased a 2003 xk8 convertible. The passenger side rear window cable was broke. I removed the regulator and corrected the the problem and re installed the regulator. There is a little wire with a round rubber top at the top of the hydraulic ram and I cant see where this goes back to. I tried to raise the top the secure latch come up and opens the top goes up and connects to the hold down latch but the latch but will not retrack to secure the top so the rear window will not go up. Need help please.

 

Is there nothing helpful in the workshop manual?
