Looking to replace a cracked shift indicator plastic piece. It indicates what gear you are in....black with white lettering. I just purchased a 2002 xkr and need a few cosmetic repairs to make it look outstanding....really excited...this forum is awesome....packed with knowledge. I could also use references to find new and used parts without getting whacked at the dealer. Thank You Gentlemen and Ladies probably.

 

From Jaguar, that part is not an individual component and the set is like $550. Used 5 speed gates are available much cheaper and occasionally you can even find just that part on eBay.

That said, there is an aluminum one found on eBay for around $65.

eBay has a ton of gates. Search "xk8 gear -knob"

I also have a cracked gear selector trim plate (the plastic face plate with PRND, 5432). i have searched ebay and don't see the stainless version any more. Looking for either plastic or stainless. Anybody have a recent source?

He’s posted that it works well and the install was easy. I need one too but haven’t pulled the trigger. I’m speaking with some 3D printers in my area to replicate, but their set up fees to build the model are way too high. So I may just go this way too.

but what i talked to them, they are really only fixing the illumination using your old parts.

I have found some stock plastic/HDPE that is a good match adn I am going to take a shot at fabricating my own..........but I am not sure how it will turn out. if i have success, I will report back.
