Hi everyone. I am in the process of adding the rear window switch on my 99 xk. I followed the video posted by Reverend Sam, and I can't seem to find the correct wires. His video is made for an 03+ xk, and he points out that the wires i need to tap into are green/black and purple/green. The pin #'s however, are not where my "right colored" wires are. The only two wires I found of the above colors are on a yellow connector with only 3 wires on them. I wired these up and they did not work. Can someone who has done this mod on a 99 please chime in.

On your car the should be on a 20 pin white connector in the center console...those are the correct colors.

Also, please think twice about implementing this mod without the autodown mod that I had also posted. You can damage your top seals or rear windows if you forget to lower the rear windows first before raising the top.

 

thanks for the response whitexkr. I just checked the connectors, and I have 2 white 20 pin connectors, both of which don't have both wires. My car has 2 white connectors, 2 yellow connectors, and one gray connector. The only connector i found with the two wires was one of the yellow connectors with three wires, two of which were the right color. Do you by chance have a picture of which harness? Also, we are talking Green Purple, not green Pink/salmon color right?
