Considering replacing the stock 17" wheels with 18" Coventry Hornets. Has anybody put these on their car and either like or dislike them? Also the Silver vs. Chrome; don't want a "muscle car" look (not that there's anything wrong with that).

 

Max - if you do an advanced search using Hornet as keyword and select XK8/XKR forum, you will find several threads with pics. Forum members JSC, MRomanik and dannyS are a few who opted for the hornets. I'm sure they will chime in shortly with their thoughts.

 

I have the 17" Hornets in chrome. At the time I purchased them, they were $80 each vs $200+ for the silver. I preferred the silver, but being on a limited budget went with the chrome.

 

My car is titanium gray, so this is a good representation of what it would look like. You got a great deal on the Hornets; best price I could find in Silver was $ 232 each, and the chrome was a lot more. Also considered the Whitleys (same price), but I think these look a bit more aggressive.
