New Cat!
Got a new (to me) 2002 XKR convertible.
It had - gasp - 31,000 on it (now 34k).
It's British Racing green with tan interior, and in dandy shape. Man, it's beautiful.
My last Jag (2000 XJR) got the chain tensioner flu, and I hadn't got around to doing anything about it for a couple of years, so I couldn't bear the thought of having no car, looked around, and got lucky in Illinois.

Georgeous! We searched a long time for a 2002 in really great condition, and the one we could afford has 79,000 miles. I wish you many trouble-free miles.
Someone mentioned that a coolant flush can have a significant impact on the supercharger. Keep us posted on your impressions of the car as go through the "bonding" process

Very nice find! I would also recommend checking to see if BOTH fuel pumps are working. I thought I would get around to it when I bought mine a few years back and little did I know one was already dead and the second one then died before I got around to checking....so it cost me a tow job...

If different types of coolant have been used without sufficient flushing in between, or if it has been too long between changes, the coolant may form a sort of gel that collects in tight places, including up around the supercharger--it has its own cooler & pump, but shares coolant with the engine through a connecting hose/pipe. That can lead to high temperatures in the supercharger and consequently in the intake air. I think they call it "heat swamping".
