Default New Mats for the Cat

Been searching for some time for a nice set of front floor mats, finally found some that finish the interior for all the upcoming car shows here in Florida.

I really do like these mats.

What are some other good options for mats while we're at it? I've been needing a new set for awhile now- looking for basic black, but something appropriately plush that'll last awhile.

When it comes to Jaguar upholstery, I've heard nothing but good things about World Upholstery & Trim. The shop who services all of my cars uses them for many of the interior bits in all of their restoration projects, and I've been impressed with the quality of their work.

Seat Upholstery, Carpet Sets, Converitble Tops, Headliners, Door Panels and Rubber Seals for Jaguar XK, XK8, XKR Coupes & Convertibles from World Upholstery & Trim

They are a bit pricey (north of $200 depending on logos/embroidery), but from what I've heard, it can be difficult to accurately match the "charcoal" carpet- regular black stands out. From what I've seen, they're good at matching the factory color.

I bought them from DCR AutoParts - Independent Jaguar Parts and Accessories Specialist in the UK. Not cheap but really well made and look great in the car. Dave is really good to work with and got the mats out quickly, it's the exchange rate and the 3 day shipping that runs the price up.

As for standard black mats, I just bought a set of Lloyd's mays for the XJR, they are really plush and even went up onto the dead peddle foot rest. Don't know if the XK would do the same. Bought them through Autoanything, good price, free shipping and future discount.

I had COCO mats in my Mini Clubman. They are great, made really well. Huuum, time to buy some for the Jag.

I concur with Lloyd's mats being a great bang-for-the-buck if you want plush carpeting without any embroidery or logos. I put a set in my wife's XK8 in early autumn 2012 and they still look like new. Extremely well-made and solidly bound on the edges. While she likes the look of her Victory Edition custom factory mats, the Lloyd's mats are much thicker, plusher, and easier on the feet during the long drives she makes back and forth to Florida....

Hey Rich--I went to that website and when I clicked on the mats it says "not found". How long ago did you get these?

SeismicGuy,

Received them this past Thursday, try sending Dave an E-Mail. Don't have any idea why they won't come. Maybe I bought the last ones he was having made! I did notice that none of the item on that page would come up.

Default Thanks sklimii, that link works

I'll contact Dave and see if they are still making floor mats with the leaper on them.

I need a set each for 01 XK8 (need 1 mounting hole) and 06 XKR (need two mounting holes), and while there are plenty of nice aftermarket options, I really want OEM mats, which are getting almost impossible to loacte (expecially the single hole versions). I'll go with mats that I can have the logos if I can't find OEMs.
