New to me 99 XK8 convertible
So here is my car,,,long story, I had been looking at 2010-2015 XKRs but wanted one in red,,was in no big hurry as I already had a nice car,2014 Mustang convertible in red of course, well couple weeks ago guy ran a light and I no longer have a car, so this came up for sale and I needed something to drive around in so I bought it,, in the last year guy had done timing chains with all the updates, new shocks, new struts, new top,new convertible top hoses, new water pump, hoses and housing,in short most of the problem areas,68000miles, His wife and him are moving and couldnt take all his cars (also had a Triumph Spitfire and an XJS V12),got it for $5300 US, changed out front grille and put newer XK wheels on it. So far it has been doing a good job of getting me around. Very slow compared to my previous car but right now not a big deal.
Love the ride and the looks. The matching Limited X Jeep is my girlfriends ride he just picked up a month ago by coincidence. Also picture of my departed Mustang.

Sorry to hear about your Mustang and nice acquisition on the XK8. I even like the color!
We look forward to hearing more about your adventures with it.
(I was visiting certain federal research facilities in Tennessee regularly just after the redesigned 5th gen S197 Mustangs came out in 2005 and I discovered that they were classed as mid-sized rental vehicles by whichever rental company we were using at the time, which I was allowed to get. So I would always change out my generic 4-door rental sedan for the highest optioned Mustang they had and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Tennessee back roads and river valleys in a near brand-new Mustang whenever possible.)
