Default Misfire codes what else can I try?

#5 cylinder misfire codes. (53k miles)
I replaced the coil pack first and no difference.
Just replaced the plug and a different new coil, perhaps an improvement but can still feel a slight misfire. I cleared the codes but no doubt they’ll be back! Couldn’t see any visual wiring issues or arcing. Anything else I can check before giving in?
Just to put my mind at rest is it normal (it happened on both occasions when I switched out the coils) the coil body doesn’t push all the way flush it kinda bounces back a bit then sits flush when the screws are tightened down. I can push it flush but I don’t feel a click like the metal cap on the plug wires back in the day....
thanks
Alan

Alan, you have done what we all would do, so I'm going to say, do a compression test on that cylinder and the one on each side, if not a end one.
May be a burnt valve is what I'm thinking.
Keep us informed.

Ok thanks, that’s a bit above my pay grade. Will have to hand it over to the pros now.
Car is only worth about $6k so not gonna spend a bunch to repair it. When smog time rolls around will probably let it go for parts.

Could it be an injector issue?

Thanks Jimmy, yes the day I bought it😀.
my last xk the chain snapped at 60k so I was acutely aware of that. Luckily (if ur an optimist) it was at startup in a parking lot so “only” cost me $3k for the chain and parts to be done.
