I'm really surprised that there are so many XKR coupes represented!

It seems XKR coupes are driven by true enthusiasts and enthusiasts seem to frequent boards more than normal drivers, so it makes some sense that the percentage of drivers on the boards is higher than the percentage of vehicles on the roads. I started looking for an XKR Coupe, but due to many things including the shear number of them, I ended up with an XK8 Convertible.

We (me and partner) each own 2001 XKR Convertibles. We run a Grand Voyager when we have to get all five kids in one vehicle but otherwise force the smallest ones into the back seat of the Jags!

Actually the percentages with the production #'s are pretty close with the poles for the XKR. Between 1997 -2005 there where 23556 XKR produced. 9661 coupes, 13895 convertibles 41% coupes 59% convertibles the pole shows 44% coupes and 56% convertibles. One or two more convertibles would bring this up to the actual production # percentages.

The XK8 numbers are off quite a bit. Production #'s between 1997-2005 59106, 16545 coupes and 42451 convertibles or 28% coupes and 72% convertibles. The pole shows 13% coupes and 87% convertibles. So you would have to say that their is more XK8 convertible owners who would be more of an enthusiast than the coupe owners.

Doug, (RCSign) wrote that one or two more XKR Convertible would put the poll in-line with production figures. As I said, Anna and I own two, but I could only vote once so there is one more XKR convertibles than shown by the poll.

Cool poll idea. I was only able to access the poll once for my wife's XK8 coupe so add another XKR coupe to the numbers to represent my baby.
Thanks,
Bill
