Default New seat covers (re-upholster kits)

My drivers seat on my LHD XKR convertible 2002 (adjustable headrest) has worn-through leather on one of the bolsters, but the passenger seat is mint. I've been looking at re-upholster kits online, the most reasonable I've seen so far is https://www.autoberry.com/details.php?products_id=245 as they match the jag oatmeal colour. Lseats.com does kits, but the fitment doesnt look as good, and they dont exactly match the oatmeal colour (I ordered their swatches and checked in person, not just on screen)

However, autoberry only sell in pairs for both seats. I would really rather only re-upholster my drivers seat.

A. Are there any UK RHD owners here with an oatmeal interior and worn drivers seat who would go halves on a kit, and take the Right side cover? I'm from the UK originally and will be visiting in september so could easily shuttle the cover back then ship locally, so i would cover shipping. you can re-cover your RH drivers seat for about $450 USD/375GBP.

or:

B. Does anyone know of anyone selling re-upholster kits where you can just get the drivers seat (I am not paying jaguar prices for original cover pieces, I could have an upholster shop perfectly repair/match the panel for that money and support a local business).

Figured I'd sound out the group for anyone interested/gauge response. I could always leave the cover with my family in the UK, stick it on ebay and have them ship it when someone eventually bites

I strongly considered sticking this in marketplace section, but technically it is not a sale. Happy to be moderated to elsewhere in the forum if this is wrong place for it.

Wow, great idea, as I have a similar situation, although my driver's seat isn't too bad right now. Please let us know if this works out for you.

I have had good luck getting a local upholstery shop to just replace a bolster. Got a very close color match

^^ Agree. I have been utilizing the same auto interior & tops shop (still with the original owner) since the early 1980s. When it comes to leather or fabric, they have always been able to match anything....

I tried to get mine repaired locally, but they could not match the color ( 97 one time color). Another option if you have Breaker / junk yards nearby is to get a rear seat, and use the leather from that to have an upholstery shop repair the bolster.
