Default New toy for the wife 2001 black coupe on ebay

Hi All,

Recent returnee to the forum after picking up a 2006 Super V8 Portfolio about a month ago and starting to get that one sorted out. Think the new car caused my wife to start thinking about upgrading from her S-type so hit the buy it now on what I am hoping will turn out to be a clean low mileage XK8 coupe. We are in SoCal and the car is in Mississippi. Not sure if anyone out there saw and/or familiar with this particular car, it went through auction at least twice I know of, and I probably overpaid for it by about a grand or so, not even factoring in transport. But it was a coupe, and it was black, it had 69k miles on it and it was at least reasonably priced $9500 buy it now.

Will see when it arrives. May need some help depending on condition when it gets here! Here is a pic from the auction.

Default New car.

Mark, looks nice and hope you find the inside looks as good. If the wife is happy, you can spend as much as you like on it, you ever notice that?
Good Luck.

Wayne

Car looks really nice. Hope it makes her happy.

Noticed they have changed to the old-style wheels, which is different. Most go with the newer models or aftermarket. Guess the PO liked the old school approach.

Nice find!

Not that I am biased towards black coupes or anything...

Yup, the revolvers just scream 1997 to me and had them on the 99 xk8 convertible we had so I already bought these staggered 18s (another ebay find). All 4 for $299 plus $80 shipping. Hopefully if the tires are new on the revolvers as the ad purported I can off the 17 revolvers with rubber for a good price on CL.

Good find on the wheels. I have the staggered Impellers (sp?) on mine and while not flashy, they look pretty good IMHO.
