Newbie to forum asking about 03 XKR.

Hi all new to this forum and was after some info on 03 XKR's. Currently looking at purchasing one down here in Oz. It has 35,000 kms on the clock and has had all services by Jag. Was just wondering if there is any under lying probs with these at all I should be aware of before purchasing it. I currently Have a 98 XJ sports Which has been a fantastic car and have had no probs with it at all and hoping I have the same luck with the XKR.

Any help would be great.

By the '03 MY Jaguar had just about resolved the many issues that began with the '96 introduction of the XK8/R. What's 6 of 7 years among friends? The only chronic one that they never resolved until they completely redesigned it for the '07 MY is the convertible top latch hose failure. If the car that you are looking at is a convertible verify that the latch hoses have been replaced or expect to have that done. $1400 plus or minus at the dealer.

Otherwise, the '03 up cars are very reliable, or as much as a high tech car can be expected to be.
