Default Niggling ABS problem.

I have been getting intermittent ABS/No Traction warnings for months now. Sometimes turning the ignition off/on clears
the problem, but it is just as likely to reappear the next time I am driving.

I finally got a decent OBD2 reader (Autel AL619) which arrived today, and I get the following C codes:

C1155 (Front left speed sensor input circuit failure )
C1145 (Front right ................................................ )
C1175 (Rear left ................................................ )
U2500 (CAN bus error)

I have previously checked every connection I can get my fingers on, and some years ago I
re-soldered the power connections on the ABS circuit board, but it still seems to me to be
a bad connection.

I am thinking I might have to delve back into the circuit board, or even consider a replacement,
but in the meantime if anyone have any suggestions with the next step I might take it would be
greatly appreciated.

The wiring harness that goes to the (mostly) front speed sensors often is the problem - specifically the connectors. My front right one acts up every now and then, and if I unplug it, rotate it 360 degrees, plug it back in the issue goes away. I bought some new connectors, but haven't used them yet. The harnesses are a little pricey. Cleaning the speed sensors won't hurt anything either.

Default had basically the same problem with ABS

My problem was the C1155 code. As it truned out the cable itself was worn out and needed to be replaced. I did not have the other errors. I am sure you have checked the battery to make sure you have a good charge. One other thing you could try would be to pull the main cable off the ABS unit ( the big one with the pull up handle) and clean all the contacts with a good electrical cleaner. What really helped me was having a copy of the workshop manual and it takes you step by step on every error code and how to exactly run down the problem.

Good luck
