Default Nikasil engines in American XK8s

From everything I have read about the Nikasil issue, it all stems from crappy English gas. Was there an issue with American gas as well?

Yes. High sulphur content was not unique to UK petrol.

Not sure about the States but we haven't had high sulphur in "Gas" since about 2000 in the UK, mines still on it's original Nikasil engine at 134,000 miles and the blow-by test gets better every time its tested

All the best
