Default No Boot Open warning on dash

Sometimes when the boot (trunk) is opened the warning does not come up on the dash display (no msg or red light). Any suggestions?

I bet your trunk courtesy lights don't illuminate either, do they? Boot latch switch. Another member is having a hard time getting his new switch to work w/ blowing it.

My lights in the boot do work. Just went out to try it again and the warning light comes on. Tried it a multitude of ways about dozen times and warning light comes on each time....

I did some more checking after I posted and it is intermittent because the boot lid doesn't always pop up enough to activate the trunk lights or the warning on the dash. Is the any adjustment for this. It is just a hair short of activating.

Make sure your 'stops' on the boot lid aren't unscrewed too much. I don't know if the latch itself has an adjustment.
