Good afternoon all
my 1996 xk8 has just developed a problem
the car has been stood still for a month as i work overseas

i put the key in the ignition and turned it to start
all i heared was a single click then everything went dead
no lights dash display etc

i disconnected the positive terminal on the car, left it for 15 seconds and reconnected the car then started.

the problem i have now, is everytime i switch off the engine i have to dissconect and reconnect the + terminal on the battery, for the car to start!

does anyone have any pointers please.

a new battery was fitted 3 months ago.
