My car has a noise in the truck area when top is not lowered.What the easiest way to get to this area from the the rear seat or from the trunk. Recommendation are appreciated

 

If your noise is an annoying metallic rattle, it could be a broken valve inside one of your rear shocks. This happened to my wife's 2006 XK8 during the summer of 2014. The noise could not be heard with the top down, but with the top up it drove her crazy until Wayne (cjd777) and I finally replaced the rear shocks in October 2014 with the appropriate new Bilsteins. Turned out that the right rear shock was the culprit. The affected shocks continue to operate normally even with that broken-off internal valve but the constant rattle while driving is annoying as hell....

Have you checked to make sure that all the tools and other items in your trunk are securely stored away and not rattling around loose?
